5 things you can do to better your mental health
1. Always have that positive outlook in life.
No matter how bad the situation is, never lose your vision of light. Keep looking at the bright side for it is where the most amazing things come from. Sometimes when we are in a tight position, we tend to see it as a misfortune rather than an opportunity for us to learn and discover more about ourselves.
2. Act like a warrior.
There will be moments when you wouldn’t know what to do and nights when sadness sprawls all over you. Never succumb to sadness and depression. Stand your ground because you are braver than what you think. Arm yourself with courage and strength because you are a fighter bound to win your war and bound for much greater things,
3. Find your passion.
There are days when you will feel stagnant; days when overthinking will play a tricky game with your mind. Never lose your focus. Do not worry too much about the things in the past, present and the future. Find and do something you love to do. Life is too short for regrets. Go paint, sing, dance, or do whatever your heart desires because if you don’t, this may haunt you for the rest of your life.
4. Learn the art of acceptance.
Some things happen without any valid explanation. Sometimes it’s just the way it is. Now, instead of wasting time seeking for reasons, teach yourself the value of acceptance. Bear in mind that some people come and go, and some things do need to fall apart. You cannot please everyone and not everything favors you. Instead of asking yourself ‘Why?’ or ‘How come?’, tell yourself ‘What’s next?’.
5. When everything feels heavy, go ask for help.
Talk to someone. Ask for an advice or better, ask for a listener. Sometimes when things pile up in our head, what we really need is someone who will listen and understand; someone who is ready to lend an ear and offer a hand for you to hold and grab on whenever you feel like falling apart. This doesn’t make you look weak. It makes you human. Never hesitate to reach out.
